What does a transport cost at Brenger?
Are the items guaranteed to be delivered if I place a transport request?
All transports within the Netherlands (excluding the Wadden Islands), Belgium and Germany that fall under our delivery guarantee are guaranteed to be delivered.
That said, in rare cases we may not be able to find a courier for your transport on your preferred date. If this happens, our Support team will contact you to reschedule your transport.
Some transports fall outside our delivery guarantee. In these cases, we cannot guarantee that a courier will be able to carry out the transport.
For these transports, you can place a non-binding transport request. You will only be charged once a courier has accepted and can carry out the transport.
Brenger does not offer a delivery guarantee in the following cases:
• One or more items are larger than 400 × 180 × 160 cm
• The total volume of the transport exceeds 5 m³
• The total weight of the items is more than 200 kg
• The transport is to a waste disposal site
• The transport involves food items
• The transport includes a trailer or a piano
• The transport involves living organisms (plants or animals)
• The transport is outside our standard service area: The Netherlands (excluding the Wadden Islands), Belgium and Germany
Good to know
• For transports heavier than 200 kg, it is not possible to place a transport request. Our couriers are unable to transport items of this weight.
• Some items cannot be transported via Brenger. Check the list of prohibited items before booking.

How do I know when the driver will come?
Time Slot
If you book a transport one day or more in advance, you will receive an email at 8:00 PM on the evening before the transport with the name of the courier and the time slot in which they will arrive. If you book a transport on the same day, you will receive an email as soon as a courier responds.
Tracking page
In your confirmation email, you will find a button ‘View status’, which will take you to the tracking page. Here, you can follow the courier and check the status of your transport.
You can also contact the courier or add additional instructions/guidelines from the tracking page page. You will have access to the courier’s phone number two hours before the start of the designated time slot. If you wish to contact the courier earlier than two hours in advance, you can send him/her a message through the same page.
Are my items insured during transport?
Everything you transport via Brenger is automatically insured against damage, theft, loss or misappropriation during the transport, from pickup to delivery.
How much is insured?
The insurance is included in the transport price.
The maximum insured amount depends on where you booked your transport:
• Standard via Brenger: up to €500
• Via Marktplaats or Reliving: up to €1000
• Via Whoppah: up to €1500
The insurance covers:
• Visible, physical damage caused during the transport
• Loss, theft or misappropriation of items during transport
What is not covered?
Not everything falls under the insurance. The following situations are not covered:
• Damage to anything other than the transported items
(such as your home, stairs, garden or elevator)
• Damage that did not occur during transport
(items that were already damaged or incomplete beforehand)
• Internal or functional damage that is not visible upon delivery
• Functional damage to electronic devices
• Damage to packaged items without visible damage to the packaging
• Damage caused while you help with lifting during pickup or delivery
• Damage to items that are not allowed to be transported via Brenger
(such as cash, food, hazardous materials, etc.)
• Damage reported later than 48 hours after delivery
What should I do if there is damage?
Do you notice damage or does something not look right? Report it as soon as possible, and always within 48 hours after delivery.
You can report damage via the tracking page by clicking “Report damage”.
Missing some details within 48 hours?
No problem. Submit the form anyway. We’ll contact you to complete the case together.
Our team collects all necessary information and will get back to you within a few working days. Once everything is complete, we forward the claim to the insurer. The insurer reviews the claim and handles the payout.
Can the courier come with a tail lift, pallet truck, moving lift, etc.?
A courier through Brenger typically arrives in a delivery van equipped with moving blankets and straps. If you need additional tools for loading and unloading your items, you can add extra services to your booking. It’s your responsibility to ensure that your items can be loaded with the chosen service. Through our “Extra Services” package, you can book the following options:
- Extra-person: the courier comes with an extra person, useful if no help is available at one of the addresses.
- Tail lift: the courier arrives in a bus with a tailgate. Handy for extra heavy items.
- Tailgate and pallet truck: the courier arrives in a bus with a tailgate and pallet truck. Handy for extra heavy items or pallets.
- Tail lift and extra lugging aid: the courier arrives in a bus with a tailgate flap and an additional carry help.
Pay attention! Brenger does not offer the following services. Use an external service for this yourself
- Moving elevator
- Disassembly / deinstallation
- Packing material
Can it be picked up or delivered at a specific time and/or date?
Yes, you can always select the date when placing the transport. You can choose a flexible timeslot from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM or a specific time slot for an additional fee.
Brenger couriers
Only approved, professional, Companies House registered couriers can be Brenger drivers. We verify each driver in four steps:
- Step 1
- A courier registers with their registered company information and drivers license. After accepting our conditions, a contract is contact is arranged between them and Brenger to activate their account.
- Step 2
- Brenger verifies the courier identification and checks that the courier has enough experience and the right kit to become active.
- Step 3
- The courier has 3 trial transports: if the reviews are positive enough (4 or 5 stars only), then they become fully activated.
- Step 4
- Couriers with good reviews can keep executing transports for Brenger!
